Performance Residency 2025

We are excited to announce a new performance residency as part of Margate Pride's arts programme for 2025. This open call invites performance artists to spend a week in Margate developing new work ahead of this year’s Margate Pride Festival.

The residency will be facilitated by performance duo Pink Suits and hosted at The Margate Arts Club. It will run from July 28th to 31st and will include guidance and guest mentorships.
Performers will then be invited to perform their work at Dreamland on the 9th August as part of Margate Pride.

We are looking for six performers to spend a week at Margate Arts Club creating and crafting a performance. This could manifest in many different ways and will be shaped around the final performers selected to take part. We are interested in all performance types; live art, dance, music, etc., and are keen to hear from artists with new performance ideas.

The end result could be solo acts or collaborative performances, but should be new and developed during this residency. We want to hear from you about who you are, what your artistic / performance practice is, and how you would use this residency to develop a new performance piece for Margate Pride.

Want to take part?
