Calling all heritage nerds, Thanet locals, queerdos and elders!

The Heritage Hotline is an 18-month project from Margate Pride, researching and building an archive of Thanet’s LGBTQ+ history from the 1960s–2000s. We’re preserving stories, memories and objects that have long been overlooked, misremembered, or hiding in plain sight.

• WLTM volunteer Heritage Hotline Operators to help:

• Follow tip-offs and go down research rabbit holes
  Gather memories and archive ephemera

• Contribute to the project’s archive, zine, and radio series

• We meet once a month as an informal, community-centred research group. Operators get training opportunities, visits to archives, and the chance to follow their own hyperfixations.
